For the majority of my life, I have lived in the Newcastle/Lake Macquarie area. I attended both New Lambton Public and New Lambton South Public School for primary before I went onto Kotara High School and Hunter Christian School. I ended up dropping out after Year 10 and for a while pursued my love for makeup artistry and studied it full time. Whilst studying here in Newcastle, the school closed down and I decided to pack up and move 8 hours away with family, to a small rural town near Lismore.
Whilst there, I made the decision to return to school and completed part of my HSC; my favourite subject being legal studies. During this time, I worked at a local pub in the kitchen and bar which gave me a lot of experience in expecting the unexpected.
After completing half of my HSC, I realised it was not for me and in January 2020 decided to leave school, quit my job and move back to Newcastle in search of work. Unfortunately, COVID heavily impacted these plans and after trialling a few jobs in a range of areas, I was pleased to find myself here, completing a business administration traineeship in the position of receptionist.
Even though I have not been here for long, I am absolutely loving my role and look forward to learning as much as I can and getting to know my fellow co-workers better. They have been very welcoming.
Outside of work I love everything creative; my repertoire of activities has included singing, dancing, drama, piano, guitar and saxophone. I also adore travelling, having been to Thailand, Fiji, America, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Bali 16 times!
