I graduated from UNE in 2009 with a Bachelor of Law and Commerce. I then completed a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice through the College of Law whilst completing my practical experience at a small law firm in Port Macquarie where I remained for several months in my first paid position as a solicitor. I was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court on 27 August 2010.

I’ve been lucky enough to build a career as a solicitor whilst feeding my travel addiction which started in December 2011 with my first overseas holiday to NZ, where I somehow summoned up the courage to go bungee jumping. I was well and truly bitten by the travel bug after that and interspersed the next 6 years working as a solicitor in Taree then Newcastle with annual trips; to England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales in 2012; followed by Thailand, Laos and Cambodia in 2013; the USA in  2014 where I spent four weeks travelling from New York to Los Angles visiting Niagara Falls and Mt Rushmore, hiking in the Grand Canyon, sky diving and losing money in Vegas. Then 2015 saw two trips including Vanuatu earlier in the year and a return to LA in 2015 where I took Halloween as seriously as Americans do by dressing up as a very glamorous witch.

I had not banished the travel bug yet and in October 2016, after many weeks of training, I spent 6 days hiking between 10—15km/day along sections of The Great Wall of China. The unrelenting hundreds of surprisingly oversized steps has been the biggest and most rewarding challenge to date. Still relishing that accomplishment, I took a nice relaxing holiday to Hawaii in 2017.

I also enjoyed challenging myself in other ways, in March 2014 I faced my biggest fear – swimming with sharks while completing my open water diving certificate which I had upgraded whilst in Vanuatu. And during May 2016 I ran 7km non-stop for the first time, competing in the Alzheimer’s Australia memory walk and jog.

Two years ago I met my fiancé, Adam.  I’m now enjoying our two beautiful dogs, Lilly and Luna and the thrilling process of building a home at Medowie whilst planning our wedding.

Since starting at The Law Office of Conrad Curry I have been increasing my focus on career development in personal injury and medical negligence. My aim is to establish a reputation within the Newcastle region as a solicitor who exceeds expectations, is honest, understanding and fights for people’s rights, whilst also advocating to improve standards within the medical profession in an effort to reduce the number of medical negligence victims.
